#MatteNotFlat: All EYES on #Stila

I love, love, love, love, LOVE matte eyeshadows. There’s something super classy about them!! The thing is — many matte eye shadows can be chalky and flat when applied — and that certainly is NOT cute! I was cautiously optimistic when I spotted Stila’s “Eyes are the Window” palette series. My eyes were set on the “Mind” palette — but my wallet wasn’t set on the price!! I waited it out and, when Ulta slashed the price to $29 on Black Friday, destiny brought us together! šŸ™‚ So — was it worth the wait??

Excuse the fingerprints — I had to test it before I wrote a review!

For starters, the packaging is gorgeous!! The palette has a nice wieght to it, and a decent sized mirror. It also included an insert with a quote from Albert Einstein — very nice touch. I also liked the insert that came with it, with a color map and three examples of looks you can create with the palette.

The colors are AH-MAZE-ING. They are very pigmented, and not at all chalky. The shadows also blend like a dream. What I especially like about this palette is that all of the shadows seem to work together effortlessly. You can mix and match them up to create dramatic and everyday looks. I typically find a few shadows I like in a palette and stick with those ones, but with this palette, I really do use all the shadows.

On a scale of 1 to “cant live wihout it” I give this palette— CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IT!! I use it every day and it’s definitely one of the best beauty purchases I have made lately!

You can find this palette at Ulta, Sephora, and Frends Beauty.
