Obsessed with #OMBRE featuring #NYX

If you love ombre lips, you’ve got to get your hands on the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks!! My favorites for everyday wear are “Cherry Skies” and “Vintage.” Once I got a few nearly the ENTIRE collection I found out they’re great for creating ombre looks.

Here are a few combinations you can ombre out to your heart’s desire!

For a subtle look combine “Vintage”and “Soft Spoken.” Start with “Vintage” around the outside. Then apply “Soft Spoken”inside, and blend with a lip brush.

For a glam look grab “Kitten Heels” and “Sandstorm.” Start with “Kitten Heels”around the outside. Then apply “Sandstorm” inside, and blend with a lip brush.

Reach for “Stone Fox”and “Cherry Skies” if you’re daring! Start with “Stone Fox” on the outside. Then apply “Cherry Skies” inside, and blend with a lip brush.

What are your favorite ombre looks — and what products do you use to create them? Let me know in the comments below!

#Perfect Crease Free Concealer

Concealer is the bane of my existence. It’s truly a love/hate relationship. I love highlighting and contouring—love, love, LOVE it! However, having a creased up mess under your eye halfway through the day is NOT cute lol

After trial and error, and the support of countless YouTube videos I have come up with a method that works (at least for me!). Click the read more tab for the details.

#Sephora V.I.B. Sale Buys, #BeccaCosmetics Obsession

Of course I’m a V.I.B. at Sephora, and one of the many customers that loses their mind when the V.I.B. sale comes around every year.  You can’t beat 20% off of prestige cosmetics that never go on sale! I didn’t go crazy this year since I didn’t need much, but I did pick up a few things and so far I LOVE them!  Here are my buys:

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights ($25)

Okay, this stuff is seriously AMAZING!! It’s honestly the best highlighter I’ve used so far.  The gold and champagne tones work best on my skin, but the silver color is also beautiful.  These little babies give you just the right amount of highlight and glow, without looking glittery or shimmery.  Best of all they stay P-U-T.  I’ve applied them, and then used an HD powder to set them, and the shimmer didn’t carry over to the rest of my face!  WOW, right?  If you’re looking to add to your collection of highlighters I HIGHLY recommend giving these a try.  On a side note, I also fell in love with the pressed powder highlight in Opal, but unfortunately it was out of stock… BOO 😦

Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss ($19)

This color is from the Star Collection.  It’s called Pearly Blackcurrant (S14).  I figured this would be a good color for fall, so I picked it up.  I really really like it over dark lipsticks.  It gives just the right amount of shine and shimmer.  Plus, the formula isn’t sticky, a MAJOR plus!!

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows ($34 for two)

I actually bought these to use as blushes.  I’ve been looking for some new ones and I loved these colors when I tried them out.  The darker color is GORGEOUS! It’s a really nice deep berry shade and it goes on super smooth.  I’m not too crazy about the lighter shade.  It’s iridescent, and it doesn’t go on quite as smooth.  I used that one as an eye shadow the other day, but I found I really had to work the product on to my brush to get it to show up.

Did you shop the V.I.B. sale?? I’d love to see what you bought!

OBSESSED: #BlackOpal True Color Stick Foundation

It felt SO wrong.  As I put my car in park I hurried inside—I didn’t want anyone to see me.  I was cheating.  I have been going to Sephora since I joined the, “grown-up,” world.  I swore by Make Up For Ever’s HD foundation, singing the praises of its wide range of colors to match every shade of brown.  If you’re a brown girl you KNOW how important that is.  This day I wasn’t going to Sephora to re-up on foundation.  I was going to CVS.
